As part of the Marketing Skills Council, a guest session was organized for the MBA Marketing students of Narmada College of Management (NCM) on the topic “Career in Financial
Services.” The expert invited for the session was Mr. Jayesh Shah, who is working as an Area Sales Manager in Kotak Life Insurance.

The session began with a warm welcome and introduction of the guest by Dr. Subhash Yadav. He highlighted Mr. Shah’s professional journey and his valuable experience in the field of
financial services.

Mr. Shah then shared his rich insights about the financial services sector, explaining how students can prepare themselves for a career in this dynamic industry. He emphasized the
importance of client handling skills, trust-building, and effective communication, which are crucial in the insurance and financial domain.

He further elaborated on the opportunities available for management graduates in areas like sales, client servicing, financial advisory, and planning. At the same time, he discussed the
challenges faced by professionals, such as meeting client expectations, dealing with competition, and handling regulatory changes.

The session was highly interactive and motivating, providing the students with practical knowledge and clarity about career prospects in the financial services industry. It concluded
with an engaging discussion where students expressed their queries and received valuable guidance from the expert.
