Students Participation in STRACTICAL – The Startup Battle (Season 11) organised by SR Luthra Institute of Management (SRLIM), Sarvajanik University, Surat

- R. Luthra Institute of Management (SRLIM) organised a national-level startup competition, “STRACTICAL – The Startup Battle (Season 11). Two student teams from second year MBA of Narmada College of Management participated in this start up battle.
Team 1: Ms. Riya Bhatia, Ms, Vaishnavi Gandhi, Ms. Khushboo Pokar, Ms Disha Modi
Team 2: Ms. Asha Solanki, Ms. Princy Patel and Mr. Uday Sharma
The competition was structured into three critical learning phases designed to build startup maturity:
- Phase 1: Startup & Fund-Raising Workshop (11 January 2026). The workshop focused on providing training about business model canvas, market analysis, and pitching to investors. The purpose was to equip teams with the necessary frameworks before the competitive rounds.
- Phase 2: Preliminary Round (17 January 2026): In this round the teams had to present a formal business plan in a prescribed format. The evaluation criteria for selection were, on innovation, problem-solution fit, and market feasibility.
- Phase 3: Final Round (7 February 2026): In this final round selected teams presented their “Pitch Deck” to a panel of industry mentors and potential investors. Ms. Asha Solanki, Ms. Princy Patel and Mr. Uday Sharma qualified in the second round and pitched their business idea in this final round.
Students moved beyond the classroom to receive critical insights into their business ideas from practicing entrepreneurs. The participants got a national exposure as they competed against talent from across India, benchmarked their ideas, and gained insights into current market trends. Also, the event helped them improve their public speaking and crisis management skills through rigorous Q&A sessions with judges.
Lastly, all participants earned National-Level Participation Certificates, significantly enhancing their corporate resumes for upcoming placements. The event served as a practical laboratory for students to apply advanced management theories to real-world business scenarios. The participation of the students in STRACTICAL Season 11 was a success, bridging the gap between academic learning and entrepreneurial execution.
