The workshop was formally inaugurated in the gracious presence of:

  • MBA 2nd Year students

Dr. Chetna Makwana  emphasized the growing importance of Business Intelligence and analytics in management education.

Dr. Susmita Ganguly motivated students to actively engage in the sessions and utilize the opportunity to enhance their analytical skills. The inauguration set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the workshop.

  1. Introduction

Narmada College of Management, Bharuch organized a five-day online workshop on “Introduction to Power BI” for MBA 2nd Year students from 9th to 17th February 2026.

The workshop aimed to equip students with practical knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and to develop analytical and reporting skills using Microsoft Power BI, thereby aligning academic learning with industry expectations.

  1. Resource Person

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Sameer Rohadia, BI Developer & IT Trainer, Germany. With extensive academic and industry experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, he delivered the sessions with clarity and strong practical orientation.

His interactive teaching methodology, real-time demonstrations, and case-based explanations ensured active student engagement throughout the workshop.

  1. Objectives of the Workshop

The workshop was organized with the following objectives:

  • To introduce the fundamentals of Business Intelligence
  • To provide hands-on training on Microsoft Power BI
  • To enable students to connect and transform data
  • To develop skills in creating dashboards and reports

The workshop was conducted in a structured day-wise format:

  • Day 1: Introduction to Business Intelligence and Power BI ecosystem
  • Day 2: Connecting data from Excel and other sources
  • Day 3: Data cleaning and transformation using Power Query
  • Day 4: Data visualization – charts, tables, and dashboards
  • Day 5: Slicers, filters, and best practices for report designing

Each session included live demonstrations and practical exercises, ensuring experiential learning.

MBA Semester IV students actively participated in all sessions. The workshop was interactive, with students engaging in discussions and hands-on practice under expert guidance.

The Valedictory Session was conducted on the final day in the presence of:
