NCM PARTICIPATION IN FULL DAY NHRDN CONVENTION

Dr. Rashmi Ghamawala and Prof. Rakhi Thakkar along with 17 HR students actively participated in the Full Day Convention organized by the National HRD Network (NHRDN), South Gujarat – Surat Chapter, held on 8th January 2026 at Hotel Regenta, Bharuch.
The convention was organized on the theme “Chaos May Be All Around and Still We Will Thrive – Ideas, Best Practices, Way Forward.”
Dr. Rashmi Ghamawala was part of the organizing committee and also served as the Master of Ceremony (MOC) for the event. Prof. Rakhi Thakkar with students’ volunteers handled the Registration desk for the event.
The event brought together HR professionals, industry leaders, academicians, and management students to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in the field of Human Resource Management, leadership, innovation, and organizational transformation.
The convention featured insightful sessions by renowned speakers including Shri Vivek Patwardhan (Convention Director and Veteran HR/IR Leader), Shri J. N. Sukanandan (GGM – Asset Manager, ONGC Ankleshwar), Ms. Sujata Deshmukh (Leadership Consultant and TEDx Speaker), Ms. Poonam Chandok (VP & HR Head, L&T Energy Hydrocarbons), Padma Shri Prof. Anil Gupta (Former Professor, IIM Ahmedabad and Founder of Honey Bee Network), and Shri Harendra Singh Dagur (Site Head, SRF Chemicals, Dahej).
The sessions focused on leadership during uncertain times, organizational transformation, innovation culture, socio-economic responsibility, and the evolving role of HR professionals as Employee Champions. The speakers shared practical insights, real-life experiences, and strategies to help organizations thrive amidst challenges.
The event was highly successful under the leadership of Shri Himanshu Bhatt, Head NHRDN South Gujarat Chapter.
The participation of Dr. Rashmi Ghamawala and Prof. Rakhi Thakkar in the convention provided valuable exposure to current HR practices, leadership perspectives, and innovative ideas, strengthening the connection between academia and industry.
