Narmada College of Management organized a workshop on “Resume Building and Interview Etiquette” on November 16, 2025. The session, taken by Prof. Iram Khan, aimed to equip MBA students with practical tools to succeed in the job market.
Prof. Iram Khan highlighted the importance of a well-structured resume, emphasizing key components such as a clear header, professional summary, skills, work experience, and education. She stressed the need to highlight achievements and accomplishments, and maintain a clean and professional design.
The session also covered interview preparation, focusing on company research, self-reflection, appearance and body language. She provided valuable tips on facing an interview confidently, emphasizing the importance of thorough research about the company. This includes understanding the company’s goals, services, products, and work environment, which helps in showcasing interest and enthusiasm for the role.
She also stressed the need to prepare examples from past work experiences, highlighting achievements and accomplishments. It is essential to memorize these points to present them confidently and demonstrate interest in the position. She emphasized understanding personal skills and goals for confident answers and shared techniques for managing nervousness. Examples of common interview questions were also provided, including “Tell me about yourself?” and “What are your expectations from the company?”
The workshop provided students with practical insights and strategies to enhance their job search and interview performance, boosting their confidence and preparedness. The session was interactive, allowing students to participate and engage with the topic.
