An expert session on “Equity Markets, Mutual Funds, and Personal Growth” was organized by Narmada College of Management on 21st January, 2026. This event was organized for MBA (Semester – IV). The session was delivered by Mr. Manish H. Mistry, as an expert.
Mr. Manish Mistry, a Science Graduate and Business Partner of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., and a Mutual Fund Affiliate with JM Financial Services Ltd. He has been associated with the stock market since 2004 and has been in business since November 2009.
The objective of the session was to make students aware with practical exposure to equity markets and mutual funds, bridge the gap between theory and practice, and encourage personal learning and self-study. Mr. Mistry explained the fundamentals of equity investment and mutual funds using real-time market data and current financial news, enabling students to understand actual market behavior and long-term wealth creation.
Key topics discussed included CAP and GAP valuation, growth versus qualitative (“Gunaatmak”) growth, and the concepts of CAGR and negative CAGR. He emphasized the importance of financial discipline, patience, and continuous learning in investing.
A notable insight shared during the session was, “For personal growth, do not remove other people’s lines—stretch your own line,” highlighting the value of self-improvement over comparison. He also recommended books such as “Trendline Geystar” and “Trade Like Jesse Livermore” for deeper understanding of market psychology and discipline.
The session ended with question and answers session.
The session proved to be highly beneficial for students, enhancing their understanding of investment concepts, valuation techniques, risk–return analysis, and long-term financial planning. The guest session was informative and inspiring, contributing significantly to students’ academic and personal development & development. The college expresses sincere gratitude to Mr. Manish H.
