An Idea Pitching Competition was successfully organized by Narmada College of Management under the aegis of the Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) on 14 March 2026 at 2:30 PM onwards. The event revolved around the theme “Sustainable Business Ideas” and was coordinated by Dr. Rashmi Ghamawala under the leadership of Dr. Chetna Makwana, I/c Director, NCM

The primary objective of the competition was to provide a dynamic platform for students to present innovative, practical, and sustainable business concepts that contribute to environmental protection and social well-being. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 16 teams from MBA First Year competing in this inter-class competition.

Participants showcased a wide range of creative ideas focusing on areas such as product recycling, waste management, renewable energy utilization, and the development of new products using biodegradable materials. The presentations reflected strong awareness of sustainability and demonstrated students’ entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The competition was evaluated by a panel of esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Subhash Yadav, Mr. Kanu Rawal, Dr. Iramada Khan, Ms. Rakhi Thakkar, and Ms. Vaishali Sheth, who assessed the teams based on innovation, feasibility, presentation skills, and relevance to the theme.

The winner team presented sustainable business idea on ‘Converting Banana Peel (biodegradable waste) into Vegan Leather’. Team members were

while the runners-up team presented their ideas on ‘Custom painted stones & shoes’ which can be used as office stationary / gift items etc…Team members were

Overall, the Idea Pitching Competition proved to be a valuable learning experience, encouraging students to think creatively and act responsibly. By emphasizing sustainable business practices, the event aligned with global trends toward responsible innovation and environmental consciousness, while nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among students.
